Academics
At Nazarene Christian Academy, we offer a comprehensive academic program that integrates faith and learning. Our Christ-centered curriculum provides students with a strong foundation in various subjects, including Social Studies, Science, Math, Literature Arts, Art, and Physical Education. Each subject is taught from a biblical perspective, encouraging students to grow in wisdom, character, and purpose.
Chapel
Chapel is one of the most fun and engaging parts of life at Nazarene Christian Academy! Each week, students come together to worship, learn, and grow in their faith in a vibrant and interactive environment. Chapel begins with the Pledges to the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and the Bible, and putting on the full Armor of God followed by energetic Christian songs that get everyone moving and focused on God.

Junior High
7th Grade
At Nazarene Christian Academy, our 7th-grade curriculum is designed to build strong academic foundations while nurturing a biblical worldview.
In English, students develop essential language skills by identifying parts of speech, constructing sentences and paragraphs, and organizing clear, effective written compositions. Emphasis is placed on using language as a God-given tool for clear and thoughtful communication.

8th Grade
At Nazarene Christian Academy, our 8th-grade program is designed to strengthen academic skills while deepening students’ understanding of God’s truth in every subject.
In English, students refine their grammar and writing abilities through creative and structured composition tasks such as outlining, summarizing, and research writing. Literature selections from Of Places introduce students to classic works and diverse cultures, while reinforcing Christian character traits like compassion and courage.

High School

Math
Nazarene Christian Academy’s high school curriculum equips students with the academic and practical skills they need for college, career, and life.
In Mathematics, students build a strong foundation through Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. They develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical fluency in topics such as equations, graphing, statistics, matrices, and deductive reasoning—essential for both academic success and real-life decision-making.
Our Financial Literacy course for 12th grade is based on the Ramsey curriculum, prepares seniors with practical money management skills including budgeting, saving, and responsible spending—empowering them to steward their finances with confidence and integrity.

Language Arts
At Nazarene Christian Academy, Language Arts is a celebration of reading, critical thinking, and the power of communication and language. Students engage in a college-preparatory grammar and vocabulary curriculum alongside a diverse range of literature which explores the depth of human experience and redemptive truth from a biblical perspective. Students also gain essential analytical, research, writing, and public speaking skills papers through intellectually-challenging papers, projects, and presentations. This well-rounded approach cultivates higher-level thinking, effective communication, and a strong foundation for engaging with their world and applying their skill sets in a Christ-like and professional manner.
Life Skills
Empowering Students for Everyday Success
The Life Skills course equips students with essential real-world knowledge through hands-on, project-based learning. Students explore practical areas such as basic automotive maintenance, carpentry, culinary arts, and home economics. They learn to check vehicle fluids, build small wood projects, prepare nutritious meals, and manage household tasks like laundry and sewing. The course also introduces foundational financial literacy skills, including budgeting and balancing a checkbook. Students prepare for future employment through résumé writing, interview practice, and job search strategies. In addition, they participate in service projects that benefit the community, reinforcing the importance of civic responsibility. Life Skills prepares students for greater independence and success in everyday life beyond high school.

Physical Education
Physical Education at Nazarene Christian Academy emphasizes the importance of physical health and wellness as an integral part of holistic development. Through fitness activities, sports, and teamwork, students are encouraged to honor God with their bodies and develop lifelong habits of physical well-being.


Science
Biology: God’s Living Creation
In our high school biology course, students explore the wonder and complexity of life through a biblical lens. Beginning with hands-on fieldwork, lab experiments, and text-based learning, students investigate the world of plants, using tools like microscopes and dissecting to gain a deeper understanding of God’s provision in nature. The course offers in an in-depth study of human anatomy and physiology, reinforcing the truth that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Chemistry: Precision and Design
This course introduces students to the foundational principles of chemistry while emphasizing the order and intentionality found in God’s creation. Through engaging lessons and experiments, students study the structure, properties, and interactions of matter. Presented from a Christian worldview, the curriculum affirms special creation and encourages students to approach science with a perspective that honors the Creator. Students will also examine how a biblical view of origins shapes the ethical application of chemical knowledge in today’s world.

Technology
At Nazarene Christian Academy, technology classes equip students with essential skills for today’s world while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. From learning keyboarding and coding basics to exploring digital design and responsible online practices, NCA students gain confidence in using technology as a tool for learning and service. Our goal is to prepare students to use technology wisely and effectively, honoring God in how they engage with the digital world.
History
The History curriculum at Nazarene Christian Academy is rooted in a biblical worldview, emphasizing God’s sovereignty over the events of the past and present. Students explore the physical and cultural features of the world through geography, gaining a deeper understanding of people and places in light of Creation and God’s ongoing work throughout history. Courses in world and U.S. history highlight key civilizations, events, and individuals, while recognizing Christ as the central figure in human history. Students are encouraged to see God’s hand in the rise and fall of nations and to appreciate America’s Christian heritage and pursuit of freedom. Economics is taught with a focus on free enterprise, personal responsibility, and the biblical work ethic, helping students connect economic principles with moral and spiritual truth.

Christian Living
At Nazarene Christian Academy, our Christian Living course equips students to grow in their personal faith and confidently live out biblical truth. Rooted in Scripture, this class helps students understand what they believe and why they believe it, fostering spiritual maturity and encouraging thoughtful engagement with the world around them. Through studying God's word students explore the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus Christ—gaining insight into His values and the example He set for all believers. Each lesson challenges students to apply God’s Word to real-life situations, helping them navigate personal struggles, strengthen their convictions, and live a life modeled after Christ. This course is not only a study of Scripture, but a call to discipleship and purposeful Christian living.
